Hello and Welcome! 

As of July 1st 2017 I became the new owner of Puyallup Massage and Bodywork. I have been working @ PMBW since August 2016. 

Graduating from Clover Park Technical College in 2010 with a concentration in Clinical Massage (Treating Injury & Conditions). I have completed many hours of continuing education for many treatment techniques including Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Re-education and Aromatherapy, to utilize during your treatments. As well as, post cosmetic surgery massage and lymphatic drainage. 

I have training and an endorsement to perform Intra-oral massage. Per the WA State Department of Health a massage therapist has to take a certified class and have an endorsement given to us by the Department of Health on our massage license. Intra-oral massage helps with jaw disorders such as TMJ, Tension Headaches as well as issues with tongue and lip tie and swallowing issues of the throat. I understand the pain and headaches that come along with TMJ as I suffered for over 25 yrs with the pain. I am now pretty much symptom free of the headaches and jaw pain. I can help you heal your TMJ too. 

I am also a certified cupping therapist and trained in vacu-therapy medi-cupping, which utilizes a machine and feels amazing! This type of cupping therapy gets up to 6 times deeper than traditional cupping and deep tissue massage without all the pain. This type of cupping has less chance of leaving the dark purple markings, depending on what is going on in the area and the level of suction it is set.

I have gained knowledgeable experience by working in partner at chiropractic office's, a large local medical treatment massage clinic, and self-practice as well as I have received many hours of mentoring by other advanced therapists and continuing education in orthopedic massage, giving me a wide range of techniques to assist in pain relief and to help people get back to normal daily activities. 

I am a confident therapist and exceptionally proficient in relieving low back pain and sciatica by treating gluteal muscles and using stretching techniques to increase range of motion. Neck, Shoulder and Headache treatment is also a strong skill set I possess. 

My treatment philosophy is based on the belief that my patients’ needs are of the utmost importance and I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat clientele and referrals. I will take the time to listen to what my patients say and treat those issues according to long standing body posture caused by daily life and work activities.

I do deep tissue work but in a gentler way. Not forcing my way into the tissues but rather by coaxing the fascia and muscle fibers to relax so we can get deeper without pain. 

I believe I am a very competent therapist with a love and passion for massage and helping people to heal and feel better. My love of massage started as a young child where I would receive massage by my great-grandmother whom I credits for piquing my interest in alternative treatments and healthy living.

When I am not working you will find me spending time with my husband and our two babies, Tango & Chloe. I also enjoy camping in our travel trailer, traveling, cruising and just became a Travel Agent May 2023, which was a lifelong dream. My hobbies include crafting, painting ceramics or wood signs, scrapbooking and working in the yard when I have time.
